Allianz NFL Division 4 – Limerick 1-8 Longford 0-9

February 20, 2010 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Limerick defeated Longford by 1-8 to 0-9 in Round 3 of the Allianz National Football League Division 4 on Saturday in Pearse Park Longford.

Limerick maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign and moved to the top of the Division Four table with a 1-8 to 0-9 over Longford at Pearse Park. Midfielder Jim O’Donovan got the all-important goal three minutes into the first half for Mickey Ned O’Sullivan’s side, who led by 1-5 to 0-5 at the break. However, Longford will view this as a missed opportunity to claim their first league points of the year as they played much of the second half with 14 men and had a last-minute goal disallowed.
